Kano State Government Redeem House Pledge made to Ex-Eaglets Stars

Ex-Golden Eaglets duo of Musa Muhammed and Zaharadeen Bello have finally received keys and papers to a two bedroom flat, while their other colleagues and officials have gotten monetary rewards from the Kano State Government.

Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso Redeem House and Cash Gifts to Indigenous Football Prodigies.   

Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso on Thursday redeemed the promise he made last year to the victorious Golden Eaglets, who helped Nigeria clinch a record fourth Under-17 World Cup.

Muhammed and Zaharadeen have gotten keys and documents to houses worth 15 million Naira in an estate owned by the government.

“Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso has lived up to his word and this will further encourage other up and coming players in the state to excel,” the now Flying Eagles skipper’s agent, Adam Mohammed, said.

Three other Kano indigenes led by Nigeria U-15 skipper Ahmed Gero were also rewarded with a cash gift of 500,000 Naira each, after they helped the country clinch the football gold at the recent African Youth Games in Botswana.

The State Government equally redeemed car gifts for Nigeria league champions Kano Pillars.

“The Kano State government has done well and other state governments should follow suit and encourage budding talents in their locality,” said Pillars spokesperson Idris Malikawa.
