EBOLA: FG Orders All Schools to Remain Shut Till October 13

The Federal Government has taken far-reaching decisions to curtail the spread of the deadly Ebola Virus in the country as it postponed the resumption of all primary and secondary schools till October 13.

Announcing the shift in resumption date in Abuja, Minister of Education, Ibrahim Shekarau, said the decision to do so became necessary in view of the risk posed by Ebola which could easily spread through schools.

His words: “All primary and secondary schools, both public and private are to remain closed until Monday October 13, 2014 which is the new school resumption date for all schools throughout the Federation”.
The schools were originally scheduled to re-open in the second week of September.

Shekarau, who briefed the press at the end of a meeting with state commissioners of education, added that all on-going summer schools were also affected with immediate effect.

Further, he said the change in the resumption date was also to enable the Federal and state governments, as well as school authorities put in place adequate preventive measures before the pupils returned to school.

Pastor Adeboye Narrates How He Was Almost Seduced By A Female Stalker

The General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has narrated how a high profile woman who was an executive of the West African Examinations Council, WAEC, did everything to seduce him.

He told the story during his sermon at the ongoing 62nd annual convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in order to encourage attendees to always depend on God.

Pastor Adeboye said that the woman came to him and announced to him that God had told her that he would be her husband, and immediately he rebuked her, saying, “you know that I am happily married and have children.”

That didn’t deter the woman who continued to pester him, and even came to the camp to threaten him, saying “if you stand on my way to marrying this man, I will kill you.”

Pastor Adeboye took the matter to the Inspector General of Police who immediately invited the woman and her husband to his office and after a meeting banned the randy woman from entering the Redemption Camp or ever making passes at the man of God.
