EBOLA: Customs Intercepts, Destroys Truckload Of Monkey Meat In Katsina
A truck-load of bush meat suspected to be monkey meat smuggled
into the country by a yet to be identified smuggler, yesterday, was
destroyed by operatives of Kaduna and Katsina command of the Nigerian
Custom Service.
According to Customs Comptroller of Federal Operations Unit (FOU, Zone B), Maina Tijjani Suleiman, the truck was intercepted Thursday morning at the Katsina border.
Suleiman also said the truck contained 351 bags of bush meat and that each of the bags weighed 100Kg, stressing that the seized meat may have come from Libya.
He explained that the seizure was necessary in view of the current challenge of the dreaded Ebola disease, noting that had the meat made its way to Nigerian markets, “only God will tell the extent of damage it may cause.”
He warned importers of similar products to desist from doing such or face the full wrath of the law, assuring that the customs would not shirk from its responsibility of supporting the ongoing fight against Ebola.
“The driver abandoned the vehicle and ran away after he was chased by our men. But then, some hoodlums attempted to attack our men and it took the reinforcement of operatives before the truck was retrieved.”
In a speech, the Katsina State commissioner of health, Mannir Talba, who lauded operatives of Nigerian customs for the seizure, said it was the needed step in the collective resolve to prevent the spread of Ebola.

How Man With Upside-Down Head Is Inspiring People All Over The World
With his head bent upside-down against his spine because of a conprivate
part malformation, Claudio Vieira de Oliveira has a different
perspective on life.
And it’s all positive.
“I have never contemplated giving up,” the 37-year-old Brazilian said in the clip of TLC UK’s “Body Bizarre,” HERE.
De Oliveira, in fact, has gone waybeyond not surrendering. He graduated from college, became an accountant and now makes motivational speeches, according to the video below.
Not bad for a guy doctors said wouldn’t live more than 24 hours.
De Oliveira was born with conprivate part arthrogryposis, a disorder that awkwardly curved his limbs, People reported. He learned to walk on his knees at age 8 and begged his mother to let him attend school.
There’s been no stopping him since.
“Since I was a child, I’ve always liked to keep myself busy and work – I don’t like to depend totally on other people,” he was quoted as saying in several publications.

HOW TRUE IS THIS...

On Sunday, two days after it was reported that Anita Oyakhilome had filed for divorce, Christ Embassy deleted her pictures and personal information from its official website, www.christembassy.org.
The divorce mess between Pastors Chris and Anita Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy Church has worsened
On Sunday, two days after it was reported that Anita Oyakhilome had filed for divorce, Christ Embassy deleted her pictures and personal information from its official website, www.christembassy.org.
Many describe the action as the beginning of a process to shut her out of the church, after she accused her husband of “adultery” and “unreasonable behaviours” in a divorce suit filed in London last April but only made public on Friday. Continue…
Christ Embassy’s new website now shows only Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, with a broad smile welcoming his followers to the month of August, and tagging it, ‘Month of Praise’.
In the message on the website, Oyakhilome also urges his followers to “rejoice for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Also, on the website of the Rhapsody of Realities, a daily devotional co-authored by the esrtwhile couple, there’s nothing to show that Anita is still recognised as the only visible face on the website among the family members is that of her husband.
It was too early to know if the September edition of the Rhapsody of Realities still has the photographs of both the pastor and his wife as it used to be.
In the past, when the going was good, Anita and Chris Oyakhilome held hands on the church website and smiled broadly. They projected the image of a perfect couple.
