In an open letter to Delta State Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan,
Lagos-based lawyer Festus Keyamo characterized the politician as a
disgrace to governance.
Keyamo accused Uduaghan of interfering in the duties of the local
electoral commission by replacing the Warri South-West candidate with
the younger brother of ex-militant Tompolo, ahead of the last government
chairmanship election.
The lawyer described Uduaghan’s decision as “unjust, unfair, illegal
and ungodly” and urged him to immediately set up a truly independent
Local Government Election Tribunal.
